Historical photomerge is a captivating way to bring history to life or to demonstrate what the National Trust for Historic Preservation calls “Old is the New Green.” This service is ideal for:
- Historic preservation efforts
- Communities with campaigns to reuse existing buildings
- Museums and historical societies
- Visitor’s bureaus and chambers of commerce
Click on another example below to see a larger view.
The photomerge at the top of this page features The Armory building located in the economically hard hit community of Elkhart, Indiana. Built by Herbert Bucklen in 1906, the building has played host to a garage, supermarket and roller skating rink. Most recently the property was a liquor store, but unfortunately is sitting vacant at this time. The front of the property faces Main Street and the rear (featuring stairways with beautiful iron architectural detail) is located along Elkhart’s Riverwalk. Original photo circa 1910 courtesy of the Elkhart Public Library.
